MY-AI Standards

The central gateway for Malaysia’s AI ecosystem to access, learn, and implement international AI standards for a trustworthy and innovative future.

As AI becomes increasingly embedded in economies and public services, effective governance has become a global priority. While policy sets direction and regulation establishes obligations, AI standards play a critical role in translating governance principles into practical implementation. They provide the technical methodologies, risk management frameworks, and measurable benchmarks that enable organisations to operationalise concepts such as transparency, safety, and accountability.

However, the rapidly expanding landscape of international AI standards presents a practical challenge. Dozens of standards are being developed across various bodies and technical committees, making it difficult for policymakers, regulators, and industry practitioners to determine which standards are most relevant to their needs.

MY-AI Standards addresses this challenge by serving as a structured reference point for more than 80 international AI standards. The portal enables users to navigate the standards ecosystem through curated listings and filtering tools that help stakeholders identify the frameworks most relevant to their policy, governance, or technical objectives.

Looking ahead, the portal is intended to evolve into a collaborative platform that supports standards development, knowledge enhancement, stakeholder consultation, and broader standards-related initiatives, thereby strengthening Malaysia’s role in shaping the future of AI governance.
